The Glenn Neasham Case & Representing Clients with Marginal Capacity

In October 2011, Glenn Neasham was convicted of criminal theft under California's elder abuse laws for selling an annuity to an 83-year-old woman.  On Oct. 8, 2013, the California First District Appellate Court, Division Three, filed its decision to reverse the conviction.

This program will review the facts of the case -- the appeals process following the initial verdict -- and the case's implications for financial advisors. Following the discussion of the case, we will review and discuss representing and advising clients with marginal capacity issues.

Our featured speaker will be Claire M. Osborne.  She is a member of Koley Jessen's Estate and Business Succession Planning Practice Group.

This program will provide one hour of Ethics CE for Nebraska & Iowa Insurance, CFP, CPA, MCLE and PACE, pending approvals.

Register online -- OR you can sign-up by e-mail to Chapter Executive Joe Pittman at sfsp@cam-omaha.com or call 402-397-0280.
